I’m no real fan of cupcakes. I love breads and rice cakes or the so called kakanin in the Philippines but I seldom eat cupcakes. I’ve been used to eating cheese cupcakes everyday way back in elementary school that I hate the idea of eating it again. But these cupcakes from Sprinkles are just pure love.

The first time I ever tasted this cupcake-made-in-heaven was during a small gathering at work. It was in this really simple brown box with a nice round sticker on it. Placed neatly over some kind of round dividers are the elegantly iced cupcake. I wasn’t sure what the flavors are since it’s just my first time trying it, so I just decided to pick out the simplest looking piece that I think might suit my taste. I luckily picked out a red velvet cupcake.

It was a great choice. Not only was the cupcake pretty, it also tasted great as well. The cupcake was so moist and tasty. The cream cheese frosting was really appealing to my taste too. It complemented the soft moist cake. It just melted in my mouth.

Sprinkles was founded by Candace Nelson with its flagship bakery located in Beverly Hills. It now has 12 locations throughout  the United States.

They have a set menu each day. Some cupcakes are only available during specific days while some everyday. They also have limited time cupcakes that comes out on specific occasions only. I was able to have a taste of their special at that time, Irish Chocolate Cupcake. It tastes okay but I have a strong bias over red velvet that anything else won’t contest.
